Privacy Policy
Personas is a service of Experimental LLC (“we”, “us”). Privacy is the whole point of what we do, so this policy is short and plain.
1. What we collect
When you request an invitation: your name, email address, the kind of member you are, and anything you write in the form.
When you’re a member:
- Who you really are, and the documents we need to verify it
- Your personas’ details: names, email addresses, phone numbers, cards and mailing addresses
- What arrives for your personas: emails, texts, calls, voicemails, scanned mail and parcel notices
- Card transactions made with your personas’ cards
- Logins you save for your personas, which are stored encrypted
- Your contact details and devices, so we can forward calls and send you notifications
2. How we use it
We use your information to run Personas: to set up your personas, deliver what arrives for them, verify your identity, bill you, keep the service secure, and reply when you write to us.
3. What we never do
We don’t sell your information, share it with advertisers or data brokers, or use it to profile you. We never tell a shop, sender or caller who is behind a persona. Mobile phone numbers, text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
4. Who we share it with
- Partners that run parts of the service: our phone carrier, email provider, card issuer and its bank, mail service, and hosting providers. Each receives only what it needs for its part.
- When the law requires it: for example, in response to a valid court order or subpoena. Where we’re allowed to, we’ll tell you first.
- If the business changes hands: under the same protections as this policy.
5. Security
Data is encrypted in transit, and sensitive data such as saved logins is also encrypted at rest. Only the people who run Personas can see member data, and only when they need to.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your information while you’re a member. After you leave, we delete it within 90 days, except for anything the law or our partners require us to keep longer, such as payment and identity records.
7. Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it or delete it, or close your account at any time. Just write to us.
8. Cookies
yourpersonas.com doesn’t use advertising cookies or trackers. Our apps use only what they need to keep you signed in.
9. Children
Personas is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information about anyone under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make a significant change, we’ll email members before it takes effect and update the date at the top.
